What is G-MAQ?
- This is the name of a high-performance, powerful chemically reactive adsorption technology and product using our proprietary graft polymerization method.
- We have succeeded in manufacturing "adsorbents using graft polymerization" at a low cost. These adsorbents were previously limited in their applications due to their high performance and high cost. This technology and product makes them more widely usable.
- Mainly, it demonstrates excellent effectiveness as a new technology that solves the weaknesses and problems of existing adsorbents in "adsorption → reaction → detoxification/odor elimination" (improvement of air and water quality) of harmful chemical substances and odor-causing substances.
- We have obtained multiple related patents both domestically and internationally.
- Research results on the purification and improvement of indoor air quality have been presented at numerous academic conferences both domestically and internationally, attracting significant attention.
Grafted Material for Air Quality
"G-MAQ" is a high-performance absorption technology that uses graft polymerization.
The target substance is inexpensively adsorbed chemically on a molecular level.
This document describes G-MAQ technology, which has successfully transformed graft polymerization from "high-performance, high-cost" to "high-performance, low-cost.".
Graft polymerization
- This is a technology that chemically "grafts" molecules with functions suited to their intended use onto any substance, with the aim of imparting functions that the substance originally did not possess.
- The polymer chains of the base material are considered the "trunk" (substrate), and substances that act as "branches" or "fruits" (side chains/functional groups) with specific functions such as adsorption and deodorization are introduced onto it.
- For example, if you select "non-woven fabric" as the "substrate" and introduce "side chains" or "functional groups" (in this case, "amino groups," "carboxyl groups," "sulfonic acid groups," etc.) that have adsorption capabilities for "aldehydes," "short-chain fatty acids," and "ammonia/amines," it becomes possible to obtain an "environmentally purifying functional non-woven fabric" that exhibits excellent effects for "sick house syndrome countermeasures" and "cigarette odor elimination."
- This is an advanced technology originating from Japan that has succeeded in imparting various functional groups tailored to specific purposes onto base materials with diverse physical properties and shapes appropriate for their intended use.
